Just found your site. A great tribute to TG and his fantastic wizardry on the accordion. I have all his LP's and would not part with them for anything. His "Lunar Lunacy" will forever be a standard for any up and coming accordionist aspiring to be a great jazz accordionist! CB Brookfield, WI

I have all of the DeFranco/ Gumina LP recordings and I've had a request to sell them and naturally enough I said No. I would like to know if second hand copies are available and how to get them. I'm pleased to say that Buddy De Franco is alink on my Webpage www.jazzlegend.com and I have met up with him when he visits Australia the last time being in 1993, but as far as I know, Tommy has never been out here, so I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him Regards Alex Hutchinson from Melbourne Australia

In response to the two prior posts on this page, the best source we have found for the work of Tommy Gumina has been daily searches on eBay. Periodically the LPs are available and every now and then a "rare gem" such as a transcription disc will appear. — Webmaster

Great web site. A nice source of info on the great musician Tommy Gumina. I remember my Dad (an accordion player his entire life) playing the Pacific Swingin' Jazz Time album all the time when I was a kid 7 years old. I have a cassette copy made from the lp that I listen to today, and looking back this album was an early inspiration for me to play the drums. Frank DeVito is brilliant on this recording. Polytones is another fantastic lp. I wish all these gems were available on cd. Why aren't they? Bob Patrowicz - drummer San Diego CA

This is wonderful! I am a 31-year old accordionist who loves jazz, and this website makes me want to learn more about Tommy Gumina and to search out his recordings. By the way, jazz accordion is alive and doing well in Europe - check out Richard Galliano (from France), especially his new live album 'Ruby, My Dear'. Keep up the good work - Brandon, Ithaca, NY

The first time I played a Tommy Gumina recording I was fascinated by his complete command of the accordion. I am an accordionist and I hope Tommy does receive more recognition in the music business. John Prudente from Greensboro NC

As an avid Piano Accordion Listener,I purchased Tommy Gumina's Hi Fi Accordion LP on Australian manufactured Festival Records so far back in time that I cannot remember the year,However,Tommy Gumina's ability on the accordion is absolutely without equal,However, the Festival record was never a good quality record, the Stylus has been skipping on many tracks from the day of purchase,as a Jazz Saxophonist of sixty years of Gigs,I listen to the tracks that will play almost daily,(I was born 2 years after Tommy),and I would dearly love to be able to get a good record or CD of Tommy, has he released any CD's?,if so,could you give me some CD numbers,Thank You, Bruce McCallum,Qld Australia.

Hello, I had the honor of studying and playing regularly with Tommy in the 70's in a band with Art Pepper. He was a major influence in my life. I would love to hear from other fans of Tommy cliff in tokyo, cliff(at)cliffworks.net
